Carmel, IN – The NPCA Foundation is proud to announce a partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville ASME group, where NPCAF will provide funding for various equipment and activities. This collaboration aims to foster stronger connections between students and the precast concrete industry, providing valuable opportunities for future professionals.
In a move to further support student initiatives, Greg Stratis, the chairman of the NPCA Foundation Board of Directors, has requested the formation of a committee dedicated to expediting student requests to the Foundation. This committee will serve as a vital link between students and the resources available through the NPCA Foundation, ensuring that their needs are prioritized.
“One of the goals of the Foundation is to educate students about the precast industry, therefore it is important that we collaborate with them whenever possible.” Stratis said. “By creating a committee, we’re able to have an open door policy where students can reach out to us to get guidance and answers quickly. The objective is to streamline the process to help support students initiatives.”
The NPCA Foundation believes that by investing in students and fostering these relationships, it can help cultivate the next generation of precast concrete leaders.
“It’s a lot to put into words, but we are very excited for this partnership in more ways than one, because we aren’t just working with NPCA, but also all of its member companies. This opportunity really opens up a door that our organization had no idea was there.” Cole Weisebeck, NPCA student member and sponsorship coordinator for ASME UWP, said.
This partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville ASME group is just the beginning of a broader effort to connect with students and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.
