The NPCA Manual for Jointed Precast Concrete Pavement is a comprehensive technical manual describing jointed precast concrete pavement systems in detail and presenting a step-by-step guide that can be used by Departments of Transportation, system designers, precast concrete manufacturers, contractors and inspectors. The manual includes dozens of technical illustrations, charts and photographs.
Published by NPCA in conjunction with the Precast Concrete Paving Slabs Product Committee, the manual was written by Peter Smith, P.E., and Mark B. Snyder, Ph.D., P.E., both experts in jointed precast concrete pavement systems.

The Manual for Jointed Precast Concrete Pavement is under the jurisdiction of NPCA professional staff and the Transportation and Infrastructure Products Committee (TIPC).
Suggestions approved by both may be incorporated in the next edition of the manual as deemed appropriate. Comments or suggestions received outside of the member comment period will be carried over for the following editorial year for consideration.
