Job Summary

This job is responsible for understanding the specifications landscape to elevate and advance the use of precast concrete as the material of choice. The role will also represent the Association and precast concrete industry at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and to regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accuracy and relevancy of the specification database to facilitate data-driven decisions
- Develop and execute annual and long-term plans for strategic engagement with industry specifiers, A/E Firms, Contractors, etc. to drive the industry to precast concrete as the material of choice.
- Support education of current and future industry specifiers, A/E Firms, Contractors, etc.
- Maintain proficiency in industry specifications and an understanding of industry trends
- Understand codes, standards, and the latest in reinforced precast concrete technology
- Represent NPCA at industry trade shows, conferences, and industry-wide technical committees (ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc.).
- Provide support and guidance to NPCA Committees
- Provide technical assistance to members and other industry stakeholders
- Additional duties as assigned

Outcomes/Measures of Success
To be successful in this role, one must be an organized, competent, and confident team player who leads the growth of our specification engagement efforts so that precast becomes the material of choice. In this role it is also necessary to be a reliable person at HQ to resolve challenges when they arise.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Registration as an active licensed Professional Engineer or capable and willing to attain this licensure
- Possess a BS and or MS in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and presentation ability
- Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and with volunteers.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be available for overnight travel within the U.S. and Canada.
- Excellent computer skills and the desire to work in a paperless environment
- A sense of humor
Working Location & Travel
While being in the office is best, this position may be considered for remote work. If remote, it is necessary to travel to the office regularly. Up to 50% travel is expected.
