The NPCA Foundation/PCI Foundation Silent Auction raised more than $131,000 thanks to hundreds of donors and bidders throughout February.
Funds from the auction, held in conjunction with The Precast Show, help advance the precast concrete industry through academic grants, scholarships and curricula development. Since its inception in 2014, the Silent Auction has helped the NPCA Foundation fund nearly 100 scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing civil engineering, architectural and construction-related degrees.
The auction has also funded precast studios at five universities: California State University – Chico, McNeese State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Idaho State University and Kansas State University.
Big ticket items in this year’s auction included four Green Bay Packers tickets and a tailgate party; a hunting trip for two at Webb Farm; vacation getaways to Great America West and California wine country; and dozens of discounts for equipment and items provided by Precast Show exhibitors.
