To NPCA Members,

For 60 years, NPCA has united precast producers, suppliers and partners around a shared purpose: to strengthen, protect and advance our industry. We know precast concrete offers proven advantages, and our industry and its members create infrastructure that lasts for generations. This message now deserves to be heard outside our industry – from boardrooms to classrooms, job sites to media. We know we can deliver safer, more resilient, more sustainable and more cost-effective infrastructure. It is time we share these messages in all the places they will not just be heard – but understood and acted upon.

My commitment as chair is to lead with purpose and focus on growth, which is why we are investing in ourselves, elevating our message and strengthening our position in the marketplace.

The NPCA board has voted to fund a three-year, $1 million marketing initiative focused on promoting the advantages of precast, educating engineers and contractors, and investing in initiatives that highlight the durability, efficiency and long-term value of our products. This initiative, which we are calling Building the Future, will promote greater awareness of precast and its essential role in a sustainable built environment, while challenging the incursion of alternative materials in our markets. The goal of this strategic undertaking is to strengthen how precast concrete is understood, valued and selected by the decision-makers who underpin our nation’s infrastructure. 

This important work will be done in partnership with O.F.D.C. Communications, whose multi-disciplinary team has experience across the manufacturing, industrial and technology sectors, as well as the engineering and design-build spaces. At its core, this work will be designed to elevate precast concrete as a material of choice. Through research- and data-driven messaging, targeted outreach and a clear articulation of the precast value proposition, NPCA will engage key audiences to reinforce precast concrete’s role in solving today’s infrastructure and development challenges, while also showcasing best-in-class examples of its use cases.

As a result, members will be supported through clearer industry visibility, improved perception among decision-makers and increased opportunities to grow market share. I invite each of you to be part of that momentum. Engage in NPCA’s programs, share your insights, and help us tell the story of this remarkable industry.
