The Precast Show – Review

More than 4,600 people registered to visit the 82,000-plus square feet of show floor at the Kansas City Convention Center last week as The Precast Show 2022 set new standards for registrations, show floor space and more.

Official attendance numbers still are being reconciled and will be available in the coming weeks, but initial registration counts show the highest total since the 2008 recession.

“What an exciting week for the industry,” NPCA President Fred Grubbe said. “The feedback we got from exhibitors is that the show was not just well-attended, but active conversations led to both sales and potential business down the road. I believe everyone was eager to come to Kansas City and return to business as normal.”

Today is the third and final day of The Precast Show.

The morning began with education sessions and will continue with the opening of the trade show floor at 10 a.m.

March 4 – 8 p.m.

A second successful day of The Precast Show has concluded.

Earlier today, teams from California State University – Chico and New Jersey Institute of Technology competed in the finals of the NCPA Student Design Competition. The teams worked with NPCA member mentor to take a real-world precast project and make a presentation to a panel of industry judges highlighting their plans for all facets of the projects.

Both teams made excellent presentations, showing the in-depth knowledge they had gained about the precast industry.

CSU-Chico was named the winner of the competition.

This evening, new graduates of the Master Precaster program gathered to celebrate with past grads of the program. The night of fellowship was highlighted by some friendly competition in bowling, ping pong, shuffleboard and darts.

March 4 – 8: 30 a.m.

Day 2 of The Precast Show is underway!

Education sessions began this morning and continue until The Precast Show floor opens at 11 a.m.

The Precast Show floor is now closed, but it was bustling from the time the doors opened to the moment the last attendee left.

More than 4,000 people have attended the show already, providing valuable leads to exhibitors.

Tomorrow features a full lineup of education classes, the NPCA Foundation Student Design Competition, Product Presentations and The Bash for Master Precaster graduates.

The Precast Show floor is open!

Please join us for the largest precast-specific trade show in North America.

Product presentations are scheduled for 3 and 4:30 p.m. The welcome reception, including complimentary food and drinks, runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

March 3 – 1:50 p.m.

More than 600 people woke up early to join The Precast Show Plant Tours to Forterra Pipe & Precast plants in Independence and Bonner Springs and PRETECH Corp. Participants got a first-hand look at the plants’ operations and learned valuable insights from plant staff.

Forty-two men and women earned the designation of Master Precaster during the Keynote Luncheon featuring Master Precaster Graduation and Industry Awards. Master Precasters receive a gold hard hat in recognition of their achievement.

During the luncheon, plants celebrating certification anniversaries were honored and the NPCA Best Practices Awards were announced.
