NPCA member survey provides real data to tackle the workforce challenge
As NPCA works to address the workforce challenges facing the precast concrete industry, Christina Trexler, NPCA’s vice president of Workforce Innovation, continues to bring ideas to the table to tackle the problems head-on.
Since Trexler joined the NPCA team, she has been focused on ways to evaluate the precast industry and how that evaluation can improve the workforce education, training and programming in the industry.
“When I first started in this industry, I asked, ‘What kind of data do we have about employees and companies in the precast concrete industry?’” Trexler said. “And so, I was provided with the 2023 benchmark report, which said workforce was the No. 1 problem, but there wasn’t much more information than that.”
With little information about the workforce challenges the precast industry is facing, Trexler knew it was time for a change.
She immediately thought about creating a survey to help tackle these challenges.
“I always knew I wanted to do a survey that would help provide more information about workforce in the industry,” Trexler said. “But now that we have an available survey, well, that’s a game changer.”
The NPCA Members Employee Survey is designed to gather meaningful, anonymous feedback from members.
