The Precast Show Plant Tours are a popular and fun event where guests travel to a nearby precast industry facility to get an up-close and inside look at how that facility operates. The Precast Show 2025 includes four tours.
Hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest and ear plugs will be provided by NPCA for all tours. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Plant Tour 1 - McCreary Concrete Products
6:15 - 10:15 a.m.

Established in 1945 in Tipton, Indiana, McCreary Concrete Products began as a block company and eventually transitioned to producing septic tanks. As the company enters its 80th year, McCreary now manufactures a wide variety of products for diverse projects.

Plant Tour 2 - Buzzi Unicem

Established in 1919 in Greencastle, Indiana, Buzzi Unicem is on the site of a former lime and stone quarry. Making significant modifications to improve production during the past two decades, the cement plant can manufacture more than 1.3 million tons of cement annually.

Originally established by American Precast Company in 1972, Coreslab Structures has operated the plant for 20 years. The plant, under APC and Coreslab, has produced precast elements for many notable downtown Indianapolis landmarks, including the RCA Dome, Pan-Am Plaza, the Capitol Center South Tower and the Indiana University Health People Mover.
