Weather in Salt Lake City
High temperatures average in the lower 40s in February in Salt Lake City, with lows in the low 20s. There is a modest chance of snow or wintery precipitation.
Packing Suggestions
Your packing list should emphasize warm layers and weather-resistant outerwear, as temperatures are often cold and can vary dramatically. Don’t forget comfortable walking shoes for the expansive exhibit hall and the closed-toe shoes required for plant tours.

Exploring the City
Salt Lake City makes it easy to get out and explore. Downtown is compact and walkable, with restaurants, shopping, entertainment and attractions within an easy stroll, all framed by views of the Wasatch Mountains. The city’s TRAX light rail and UTA buses make getting around simple, and rides are free within the downtown Free Fare Zone. With wide sidewalks, a straightforward street grid and plenty to discover along the way, attendees can comfortably explore much of downtown without a car.
