Richard Isaacson, the principal owner of iwi Concrete Equipment Group in Norcross, Ga., received the 2023 National Precast Concrete Association Robert E. Yoakum Award, given each year to an individual who plays a leading role in the precast concrete industry.
Isaacson currently sits on the NPCA Exhibitor Council, the Membership Engagement Task Force and the Outreach Committee. He served on the Board of Directors from 2008-10 and has been a member of 13 different committees and task forces, including chair of the NPCA Concrete Industry Management Course Task Force.
Isaacson served on the NPCA Foundation board from 2012-18, including two years as Chair. In leading the NPCA Foundation Silent Auction, he helped raise more than a half-million dollars to support programs that develop the industry’s future workforce.
Isaacson’s work with the NPCA Foundation also includes development of the annual Student Competition, where college teams are given real-world projects and challenged with managing solutions; an expanded outreach program with five university Concrete Industry Management programs; and the funding and building of the Idaho State University precast management studio.
The award was announced Saturday, Oct. 14, during the NPCA 58th Annual Convention in Oklahoma City.
