The National Precast Concrete Association is proud to announce the addition of two members to its team. Mandy Hazlett and Darren Whorton bring diverse skillsets and expertise to the association, furthering NPCA’s commitment to providing its members with top-of-line resources and experiences.

Hazlett joins NPCA as the vice president of events, with extensive experience in strategic planning and event management, including tradeshow/expo management. Hazlett previously spent nearly 20 years with the National FFA Organization as associate director of events, where she has planned annual and leadership conventions.

Hazlett will work side-by-side with Denise Cutler, NPCA’s vice president of meeting services, for the next year to ensure NPCA continues to deliver the high-quality events that its members are accustomed to.

Whorton joins NPCA as its first vice president of technology. His role will include implementing technology strategies that include migration to the Cloud and overseeing NPCA’s data management while developing new policies to keep pace with evolving technologies. Whorton also brings 20 years of experience in associations, supporting trade shows and conference tactics, operations and AV prowess.

Whorton’s appointment as VP of technology reflects NPCA’s dedication to leveraging technology to enhance its operations and better serve its members. His proficiency in technology management will contribute to the association’s continued growth and success.

“NPCA looks forward to collaborating with Mandy and Darren, who together bring nearly 40 years of experience working in associations and working closely with members,” Nick Rhoad, president & CEO of NPCA, said. “They will be an asset to NPCA by using their skills to continue strengthening the precast concrete industry while focusing on our members and growing the organization.”

As NPCA continues to prioritize member satisfaction, Hazlett and Whorton will play a pivotal role in ensuring the association remains at the forefront of the industry.
