Keynote Address by Cara Silletto, Crescendo Strategies
Like most businesses, precast plants and supplier companies are multi-generational, with three and sometimes four generations of workers on board. And while some of today’s workforce is comprised of deep-rooted, dependable employees, other positions are a revolving door of turnover. With the shortage of qualified workers in the construction industry today, attracting and keeping employees is critical to success and future growth.
Cara Silletto, our featured speaker for The Precast Show 2019 Keynote Luncheon, helps companies reduce unnecessary employee turnover by bridging generational gaps and making leaders more effective in their roles. As an early millennial (born in 1981), she sits in the middle of the generational divide – young enough to understand what drives your youngest employees but with a master’s degree in business and 14 years of experience in learning the expectations of older workers.
An author and business owner, she will share her strategies to help you understand why employees leave and how to make them want to stay.

Show a Little Hatitude
What’s a Kentucky Derby party without a fashionable fedora or an over-the-top wide-brimmed hat? As part of your registration for this event, you are invited to create your own Derby hat at our special Hatitude stations near The Precast Show registration center at the Kentucky International Convention Center. We’re talking big-brimmed beauties, fedoras, cowboy hats and fascinators (that’s a mesh net party veil hat seen around these parts, y’all). Hatitude helpers from the Kentucky Derby Museum will be on site during the trade show to help you customize your lid, so you can enter the Derby Museum in style – with the proper precast Hatitude.
