Director of Codes and Standards
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Colorado State University
Role: Eric’s primary responsibility is staying abreast of codes and standards that impact the precast concrete industry, and helping to keep members informed of those codes and standards. Eric also provides responses to technical inquiries, assists members with technical issues and interpretation of the NPCA QC Manual, represents NPCA and the industry at trade shows, exhibits, and conferences and coordinates the activities of product committees. Eric also writes and edits technical articles and represents the industry in the national arena of regulatory agencies.
Industry Representation: Eric serves as a member of ASTM Committees F17, F36, C09, and C27 and is the current Vice-Chairman of ASTM Committee C13. He was presented the ASTM Award of Merit in 2003.
Experience: Eric worked for eight years with Armco Steel Corporation in their construction products division and two more years when the company became Contech Construction Products. Prior to joining the NPCA staff, Eric worked for 27 years as the Technical Director and Corporate Engineer at the Independent Concrete Pipe Company.
