Throughout the month of January, Director of Codes and Standards Eric Carleton, P.E., participated in the 2021 Transportation Research Board Virtual Annual Meetings.
Carleton is a member of committee AKB70: Standing Committee on Culverts, Buried Bridges and Soil Structure Interaction. Additionally, he is a designated ‘friend’ to several concrete-related standing committees, which gives Carleton access to meetings and correspondence.
The Transportation Research Board is part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Standing committees develop research needs and recommendations for funding through various government sources. Throughout the conference, standing committees also sponsor various paper presentation sessions by ongoing or completed transportation research related projects.
