NPCA is always looking for ways to better engage specifiers, students and professors to help promote our industry. This past year saw the launch of our student and professor landing page as well as the release of a “History of Precast” video. Both were designed to engage the academic world to help raise awareness of the precast concrete industry.
This fall we will add another tool to engage the specifying industry as we sponsor our inaugural Precast Days, an educational opportunity that will provide engineers, contractors and more an up-close experience at a local precast concrete plant.
Members across the country are opening their doors to show how precast concrete is made and why it’s a quality building material. Specifiers will have the opportunity to see the equipment, processes, control, technology and engineering expertise that goes into making quality precast products.
So far, more than 30 plants are participating with more being added. For engineers that are attending, many plants are offering at least 1 PDH to those who are eligible. Some participating locations are hosting job fairs and open interviews for students to explore a career in the industry.
If you are a precast concrete producer and interested in participating, please let us know. We’re committed to handling registration logistics and promoting this event on a national level through flyers, mailings and advertisements.
It’s important to note that this isn’t just a plant tour – it’s a way to show why precast concrete is the construction material of choice and what makes your company stand out.
We encourage you to learn more about Precast Days on our page dedicated to the event.
