Still not convinced? Well, don’t just take it from us. Chris Fitzpatrick, quality control manager for Lindsay Precast’s Firebaugh Division, recently spoke with NPCA about some of the benefits of using the app.
Q: What prompted you to download and use The Precast Show app last year?
A: I try to stay organized and look ahead to upcoming events. There are always so many things going on and I don’t like to get in a situation where I lose track of time and have to rush out to another event. Given the constant interaction in our daily lives with phones and e-mails, it was very easy to coordinate everything from my phone.
Q: How does using the app add to your experience at the event?
A: It was obviously more convenient to have everything right there with me. I could be answering a phone call or e-mail and my upcoming events were one touch away. The photo album was a fun and unexpected surprise. Some of the photos gave a very personal feel to the trade show with some unique perspectives. I hope to see more photos this year.
Q: What app features do you find most useful?
A: The trade show floor plan was great. I always cover the entire floor but am usually too caught up by a new accessory or a new product line to keep track of where I’m at. Then, later, when I want to revisit with a colleague, I have to retrace my steps or at least where I think I ended up.
Q: What new features are you looking forward to using the most this year?
A: All of them! The one I think I will benefit most from will be the personalized schedule. The alerts and reminders set up through my phone and Outlook help to keep me organized and allow me to focus my efforts on the task at hand. The networking features will be great as well.
