Precast Saves Time, Money on Bridge Project
NEW JERSEY -- The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) recently rehabilitated two high traffic bridge spans with the help of precast products. Aside from the cost savings, the precast also helped to bring the project in ahead of schedule, says Michael Troncone, P.E. of the engineering firm French & Parrello. "The contractor finished three weeks ahead of schedule due to the decision to work with precast concrete," acknowledges Troncone.
