Leadership NPCA Wrap-up

With the inaugural class meeting at The Precast Show 2017 in Cleveland, Leadership NPCA brought together its first class of 12 students for advanced management training, networking and industry association opportunities in a one-year intensive program. The first class is set to complete its yearlong journey with a wrap-up session at The Precast Show 2018 in Denver. The class will graduate during the NPCA Keynote Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 22. Congratulations graduates!
Leadership NPCA Kickoff

The second Leadership NPCA class kicks off at The Precast Show 2018. The course is limited to 12 students each year and is chosen from applications submitted to the NPCA Education Committee. The kickoff will be an opportunity for the new class to meet with the instructor and learn more about what to expect for the next 12 months. In this opening event for The Precast Show 2018, NPCA celebrates winners of the annual Sustainability Awards competition and recognizes anniversaries and top scores among NPCA certified plants. Also honored will be the graduates of the first Leadership NPCA class and the Master Precaster class of 2018. The awards activities lead into a special keynote address from Karl Mecklenburg, a six-time Pro Bowl linebacker who was a member of three Denver Broncos Super Bowl teams. Considered one of the most versatile players in the NFL during his all-star career, Mecklenburg played all seven defensive front positions from 1983-1994. As an author and speaker, Mecklenburg’s stories of teamwork are both humorous and inspiring, and filled with the same passion and intensity that marked his football career.

Then we’ll stop by the Denver Zoo, the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Governor’s residence for more photo opportunities. At this special event on the trade show floor, the NPCA Foundation hosts students from the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program and engineering schools around the country. All attendees to The Precast Show are invited to join this free networking event to meet students and professors. Meet with students who will soon be graduating and seeking employment, find out about internship programs for your plant and learn how you can be a resource to your local construction management or engineering program as a guest speaker or plant tour host. It’s a great way to recruit new talent for your company and influence the next generation of specifiers.

Join us as we cap off The Precast Show 2018 with the most spectacular party in precast at the iconic Mile High Stadium, home of the three-time Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. The stadium rocked by John Elway and Peyton Manning is the star of this closing night attraction. You’ll enter the stadium like a Hall of Famer, greeted by Miles the Mascot, the Stampede Drumline and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. And that’s just the start, as you continue through the players’ tunnel and onto the football field under the stadium lights for a photo opportunity from the perimeter of the field. The event really kicks off at the East Club Level with a casual and delicious buffet dinner, interactive activities such as pingpong, foosball, armchair quarterback, pop-a-shot electronic basketball, air hockey, a rock climbing wall, artic thunder and more.
