NPCA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT

An award-winning course from the day it opened in 2005, Shingle Creek’s magnificently groomed greens and fairways wind around the campus of our headquarters hotel for The Precast Show. The course features a unique combination of sand and interconnected waterways to create a challenging test for the expert golfer while still offering a fair and enjoyable experience for novice players. Kick off your Precast Show experience with another great NPCA Educational Foundation golf tournament, featuring first-class amenities, a box lunch and a reception with the usual assortment of golf prizes.

BIKE TOUR TO WINTER GARDEN

The gentle rolling hills and freshwater lakes of Central Florida were once a realm of unequaled natural beauty. A perfect climate and generous soil encouraged citrus growers to plant orange and grapefruit trees throughout the region. Idyllic, small farming towns connected by a series of short-run railroads tied the area together and the living was good.
This Florida version of small-town America along with nearby remnant strands of virgin wilderness will roll out before us as we travel on the trail to Winter Garden. See stately live oaks draped in Spanish moss and finely-crafted vernacular Florida architecture aged gracefully in the embrace of this peaceable community. Traverse the former passageway of a now defunct railroad as it draws us into the quaint downtown district of Winter Garden; then join us as we explore the proud heritage museum in the heart of the village. If Norman Rockwell weren’t a New Englander, he might have felt right at home in our little town.
Note: Helmets are provided. This is a 3-hour, approx. 7-mile ONE WAY bike tour. Participants are required to be able to complete this duration and length, because there is no way to shorten or to drop out during the tour. Water will be supplied. No flip-flops allowed! A portion of the receipts of this tour go directly to the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation and the Oakland Nature Preserve to support their preservation and conservation efforts.

Cooking Class at Wolfgang Puck Café
(With Lunch)

Chef Wolfgang Puck is one of the most influential chef-restaurateurs in America. He is credited with reviving California’s rich and varied culinary heritage by blending fresh California ingredients and classical French training. Wolfgang’s innovative style of cooking has been enjoyed and praised by world leaders, Hollywood stars and fellow chefs alike.
Hosted at Wolfgang Puck Café, the class is taught by the restaurant’s energetic sous chefs, who have trained under Wolfgang’s direction since the opening in 1997. The class includes a brief history of the Wolfgang Puck culture, including the “Live, Love, Eat” philosophy. It’s all centered around demonstrations of Wolfgang Puck’s signature dishes and accompanied by lunch, which will incorporate the dishes and recipes presented. The class concludes with a question and answer period and a variety of helpful hints and tips.

Tonight you will party in the land of the pharaohs. As you enter the Epic Stunt Theater, you’ll be directed to your seats in the Epic Stunt Theater. But don’t get too comfortable – Indiana Jones is on the loose. He’s running through the ruins of a temple seeking the golden idol. Spears fly and blow darts rain down on him, but Indy dodges them all. He grasps the gold treasure. Then, just as he removes the idol from its perch, a massive rolling boulder comes crashing toward him. He tucks away the idol as he desperately tries to outrun the stone when…
