Why Join NPCA?

The manufactured concrete industry is ever-changing, increasingly competitive and always growing. You never know what’s going to happen today that will affect your business tomorrow. That’s why it’s important to know others in your industry who share common experiences and goals. There’s an advantage to having connections, to belonging to an organization that can provide support, educational opportunities and industry information. That’s where NPCA fits in. The National Precast Concrete Association is a non-profit trade association representing manufacturers of plant-produced, precast concrete products and companies that provide equipment, supplies and services to the industry. Founded in 1965, NPCA’s membership roster includes members in all 50 states, 11 Canadian provinces and several other nations throughout the world. NPCA connects leaders in the manufactured concrete industry and provides educational, leadership and networking opportunities. If there’s a trend in the industry, NPCA will inform our members about it. If there are legislative decisions being made that can help or hurt your business, NPCA will help you understand the issues. NPCA keeps you up to date on emerging safety and technical issues that will help your business strengthen and grow. NPCA is good for your business. NPCA offers three types of membership, each designed to meet member’s specific needs:

Producer Member

Professional Member

NPCA Safety Manual on CD This popular manual is specifically designed for safety needs of precast concrete companies. Now available on CD-ROM, it can be adapted to fit your company’s needs. Quality Control Manual for Precast Plants A guide that defines fundamental requirements for quality control programs, assists management with decisions about equipment, procedures, and personnel, and provides practical information, details and accepted industry standards to ensure consistency of plant operations and products. This guide is now available for download online. Guide Specifications for Precast Concrete An informational tool that assists precasters working with specifiers during the design process of a project and helps specifiers understand the low-cost and high-quality benefits of using precast concrete. The Guide Specifications are available on CD-ROM, improving the ease of use and implementation by specifiers. Government Affairs NPCA monitors legislative and regulatory issues that affect the precast industry. In addition to interpreting and communicating pertinent information, NPCA provides guidance and instructions to members about communicating with elected officials. NPCA’s OnLine Government Affairs (known as OLGA) service is a tool that allows NPCA members to identify their congressmen and send their opinions simply by typing in the appropriate ZIP code. Marketing NPCA travels throughout North America to actively promote the use of precast concrete to specifiers, engineers, developers, DOT officials and other public works officials. NPCA typically exhibits at such major trade shows as WEFTEC, NOWRA, AASHTO, APWA, ASLA, ASCE and World of Concrete. The staff and NPCA Marketing Committee also develop tools and programs to better equip members to promote their products at the local level. Plant Certification Program From start to finish, NPCA’s Certification Programis dedicated to setting the highest standards for plant facilities, production operations and quality control procedures.
